Yes, Happy Cinco de Mayo to all, but is it Independence Day for Mexico, or is this a holiday they celebrate a victory over French forces back in the day?
This hat is a great souvenir I picked up in Cancun on springbreak years back. Solid NE swell at the time, wish I had a board. But there was no time to surf on that trip, as many drunken students went swimming, with 1 lifeguard for an infinite stretch of beach. Kept one girl afloat for 20 minutes on a rented bodyboard until we were rescued and thought I would score big time with either her or her friends? But it was one of those "See you later........thanks.!" Dammit!

Oh, it's garage sale season.................picked up 2 today, much to the displeasure of my wife. The surf is pretty much flat here today, but this was a score nonetheless. Now back to wearing my hat and painting my deck.
