So in Feb. 1998 I'm driving into a lot with broken up pieces of concrete and rebar sticking up on the shoreline from the torn down Crystal Beach amusement park. Luciano is blasting in my car as bright sunshine floods the inside of my automobile and outside it's twenty below wind F. Then I spy with my little ole eyes two surfers. The waves that day were glassy and overhead. I send this to those two surfers who have become immigrants to Hawaii and Australia and too those who appreciate Pavarotti and Brown. Today I'm thinking about a winter Lake Erie day of surfing at The Palmwood. I'm also thinking about the passing of the worlds greatest, tenor, Italian, Luciano Pavarotti and the joy his singing brought to us.

The Palmwood:

Crystal Beach Park. Where Don Harrison and many local Western New Yorkers and Canadians on the Niagara Peninsula went in the summer:

Luciano Pavarotti was one of three tenors.

Distributed without profit to two surfers in Hawaii and Australia and to ESA Great Lakes District members. Please buy the music of Luciano Pavarotti and James Brown for your enlightenment and entertainment.
