Jonathan Ambeault surfed the Masters Final today.

We won't know his standing until the winners of Masters short board division is announced at the ESA Competitors Banquet/Awards Ceremony on Saturday nigh 15 May 2009.


He is coming home with a trophy. Good surfing Johnathan!

Met up with Jon at Loch Arbour last night. I had my hands full with the girls, but he scored a fun session at LA with his fellow Ontarian last night. Water was in the mid 50s and about chest high on sets, fun lefts and rights with a lot of East in the swell. The fog finally lifted yesterday afternoon and it was around 70F on the beach. Competitors are dealing with the fog again this morning. A little bump in the surf arrives tomorrow.

My brother arrived into town last night from Denver. A lady he works with occasionally at the Burlington/Hamilton branch of their company was in town last week and gave him several Blue Jays tickets in June - July - September. The one in July is I think the 23rd. Hopefully that will cooridinate with some local swell activity up there?

The waves looked smaller on the Belmar web cam. Last night I spoke with Lester Priday and he related the same wave height information.

The ESA award ceremony/banquet tonight should be fun for Johnathan. He is in the winners circle.

Yes we do get surf in the middle of the summer on Lake Erie. If it goes off wear sunscreen. A trunk session in mid summer is lots of good fun.
