Either you chose the captivity, live nested with Greek Cypriots and have no homeland or you stand firm and say these soils are my homeland and live free forever.
As it was with the Annan Plan, from the minute the negotiations began the siege of Turkish Cypriots in every platform and every ground has also began relentlessly. Some organizations, representatives of well known countries began arriving on the island and giving encouraging messages to enable the unification of the two communities. Some are dogmatizing from their countries in their comfortable seats are professing this is the last chance for a solution; we are ready to help for solution.
By the end of September 2009 probably the General Secretary of the United Nations will be on the Island.
Anyhow wasnt the meaning of the given messages in that direction?
They are after reaching an interim agreement before the 2010 Presidency elections in TRNC so that in the event of Talat lost his Presidency the incoming President should not have the chance to refuse.
All these statements and the siege have a common denominator which is MONEY.
The known foundations and well heeled personalities have opened the doors of their resources. The aim is to utilize this power to identify the collaborators that would help their political aims in TRNC and with the help of collaborators to organize meetings and activities with the Greek Cypriots in order to portray a bogy picture that the people of the Island could live together and with this message to impress the public that those who oppose their plans could easily be taken under control. This is the true face of the psychological warfare that is being waged after the Cold War in the country and the ammunition of it is BETRAYAL and MONEY.
Soon altogether we will witness the success level of this hideous plan.
The most important aspect is to acquaint the public of this inattention. It should be the paramount duty of the electronic media and the press that are operating in TRNC to convey the danger of those meetings that are being conducted with the power of MONEY to the People and the submissive activities that are related with their future; above all everything, doing this also is their nationalistic duty. However, as it has been in Turkey, unfortunately some of the media is manipulated by those powers. Outside of a few newspapers and TV organizations in TRNC, no references are made on the submissiveness by the remaining media organizations.
Despite the oppressive and discriminative actions of President Talat and his entourage the columnist and corner writers of the nationalistic media and press relentlessly continued and will continue defending the entirety of their homeland and sovereign rights of their people, because there could be no currency that possibly could buy their ideas.
I like to itemise some of those projects that emerged with the beginning of negotiations.
A development program (the partnership program for future) of the UN (UNDP-FF): The roads of many villages will be repaired; schools will receive financial help, health centres and libraries will be established.
With the money received from the US International Development Agency the Cyprus Turkish French Cultural Centre was repaired. In the speech delivered by the Special Advisor to the TRNC President Mr. Adil Nami said; We need this kind of activities to realize the unification of the two peoples.
The Greek Cypriot Leader Christofias in his speech delivered during an activity that was organised by the Civil Organisations AKEL, EDON, POGO and some TRNC oriented organisations he praised the organisations which received an enthusiastic applause and said: In order unifying our lands again we will do everything within our power.
In the meantime Spyros Christou, the Coordinator of The Peace Project between Communities in Cyprus in his speech delivered in London School of Economics (LSE) said; our aim is to unite the two communities. The President of the EU Association Ali Erel who also made a speech in the same seminar said: There are elements in TRNC who are against solution and to overcome this, the lobbying activities must be accelerated.
The activities that I have listed above are the pointers of the acceleration level of the MONEY power. If we should include the contributions of some of the politicians to these submissive activities, the magnitude of the danger could easily be identified.
At this stage the stand and the preference of the Turkish Cypriots has a paramount importance. When this Mucahit people were claiming those heirloom soils in their survival struggle, they had sacrificed their sons for it, and during the waiting period for their motherland they never considered any financial interest, in effect they pushed aside the financial bribe that was offered by Makarios and stood firm against their cause. There is nothing that has changed today; the preference of the majority of the TRNC people is for preservation of TRNC and not the MONEY.
The infidel collaborators who are intimate with Greek Cypriots organisations know this, therefore; they are in efforts to camouflage their hideous plans and present to the people of TRNC as their savoir; these fickle minded people are getting their strength from MONEY.
The great majority of the people of TRNC have demonstrated their willingness to continue as TRNC citizens during the 19 April 2009 elections by voting with a majority of over 70% for the political parties who claim these soils. The silence of President Talat to the messages given by his advisors and impositions of the Greek Cypriots on most critical matters are known by every level of the communityHowever the majority of the people of TRNC are not supporting the unilateral performances of President Talat. Despite this willpower the realization of unification with Greek is not possible.
The private advisors who are the part of the CTP of which the President Talat is the spiritual leader are aware of this impossibility and hastily are trying to reach to a settlement behind the close doors without consulting the people with I did it mentality.
With his actions Talat has been supported by the ruling party in Turkey , even he has been praised by Prime Minister Erdogan as he has been the best of those who had ruled the TRNC, therefore the responsibility of riding Talat in a shortest time is on the shoulders of UBP and the Prime Minister Eroglou. During this legislative year they have to go hand in hand in the TRNC parliament and take the election of the Presidency to an earlier time, may be before the 2010, and go to the people again. Because, in this negotiation process the future of the Turkish Cypriots are being negotiated and apart than the grim messages that the people have been receiving from the Greek Cypriot media they have no idea what is being tailored for them. The most important aspect that has to be kept in mind are the promises that were given by the UBP, CTP and others before the 19, April 2009 election were in direction of the continuity of TRNC; and now is the time of the fulfilment of those promises.
Apart than the promises of the political parties, the civil organisations that defended the integrity of their state and the citizens of TRNC also have big responsibilities, therefore institutions that are pursuing the same policies and following the same principles must regroup under same umbrella. Today is the day to leave the differences aside and form a united front against the submissiveness, or all of them will lose their legitimacy. Should the unification of two sides become reality those organisations will have no rights to sustain their existences anymore.
For the sake of well known MONEY centres, despite the economical hardship the Turkish Cypriots should not compromise and in order sustaining the TRNC they have to do everything within their ability to protect the soils that was inherited to them by their ancestors. Giving up their freedom and sovereignty should not be an option. For the sake of the crimson flag that many sacrifices were made should not be lowered from its position. The heroic Cyprus Turkish people will have to make the decision on their own destiny.
Even if this Mucahit people who have been aware of every hideous plan that was tailored for them remained face to face with a renewed referendum before the end of 2009, and asked for their preferences about a united Cyprus must respond in a language that they deserve; the hell with your MONEY; we want our liberty and freedom that have cost us blood and many lives.
And to achieve this and sustain the Turkishness on the Island, the Turkish Cypriots must claim the TRNC.
