Hi Darin,

Could you let me know a little more about the longboard? Glass or epoxy? How's the glass, is it in good shape?

Thanks, Raymond

Hey:

The bic Longboard is in fact an 8'4", my mistake...You can see specs and pics on the silent sports website
www.silentsports.com

To be honest, it's not a glass board more of an epoxy, or really, even closer to a plastic construction. Not the lightest board, but great for the lakes, and totally durable. The board is in really good shape, and a deal @ $250.

Let me know.
Darin.

The board is made out of polyethylene similar to PVC. As far as floatation and durability goes the board is top of the line. As far as maneuverability the board is a tank, just about as slow as they come. It’s made for a bigger rider.

Sorry all, but both boards have sold.
Good luck w/ your search, and no thanks to the guy who took time out of his busy schedule to write a post ponting out that a beginner's board is 'slow as a tank!'
Thanks captain obvious...

I'd rather ride an indestructable BIC tank than get frustrated trying to catch waves on a little six foot potato chip board that dings when you look at it any day...slow and stable are good things, especially on our choppy windblown junk waves. Travelling with a strong, heavy board is smart too-might not be ideal but you can ride it anywhere and not worry about it getting wrecked on the plane.
