Al Gore is a messenger who carried the bad news. Maybe they want to rid us of the messenger but the message is gaining validity across the planet and in the scientific community. Gore shot himself in the proverbial foot by his energy usage. His massive energy spending at his home is environment gone wild. Despite the power his mansion consumed being produced by green power it does not bode well for the many millions of Americans that pay far less to light and heat their homes. The producer of "Inconvient Truth" has also wounded her credibility by flying in wasteful private jets. Last month Englands Prince Charles opted to fly in a public jet to New York to accept an environmental award rather than waste more fuel in a private jet for fewer travelers. This is what true leadership is about.
Al Gore stumbled and hurt himself but the issue of global warming contines to concern great minds across the world and is seen as a threat to our planet by a multitude of nations. The natives in the arctic are on the front lines of this change and they have noticed and protested the change they are witnessing in their communities. This is not hearsay but based upon a growing loss of snow on mountain peaks and the disappearance of glaciers and a warming of the atmosphere.
It took a lot of people to die before smoking was debunked and proven to be unhealthy. Now it seams that a vested group too would want final proof on a catastrophic scale before they would agree that something is not right with the climate.
