Anissa baby-sat Margie. Margie has a lot of issues with the Jones family!

Probably the worst being her brother Paul had the habit of growing pot in neighbor's yards, wherever he found clutter or an ignored area. Then if it didn't get discovered he'd harvest the plants and then prep it and sell/give/or use the dope. That way he had less risk getting caught by his mother, or the authorities. (They found the dope he had grown in the Jungle and pulled all of it up! Others had raided his garden though, so it was a constant loss proposition in the wilds anyway.) Playa Del Rey has a unique slant and an area that over looks the homes heading down to the beach, so he could check on his little farm effort with some binoculars.

However in Margie's dad's case he hired some day laborer's to clean up an old barbeque pit and a neglected area of his yard and the Mexican guys found the dope and nabbed some. Two days later they get busted and the police offered to cut them a deal if they give up where they got the dope. They snitched out Margie's dad and there was a late night raid and the police found more plants in the back yard, Margie's dad is stuck with having to tell them 'Hey it's not mine!' and the cops figure, sure! Margie's like 9 her brother is like 8, so no one believed their dad! The family fought the charges and lost all of their money and had to sell the house in doing so. Hughes let her dad go and even the golf course fired him as a groundskeeper's helper when they found out about the legal problems he had. Financially they never recovered.

Even the kids in PDR that knew it was Paul and his dope, wouldn't come forward.

Margie has a reason to be bitter. She's a lot more calm that I would be!
