I used to install cable in Dallas. The guy who trained me was fired because he refused to do a set-up on a guy convicted of attempted homicide, who was serving his time AT HOME!
The shooting in Stockton was done by a violent career criminal who was caught prior to his schoolyard murder spree with a weapon modified to fully automatic. He was then arrested for firing a pistol into a tree! But he was let go and the charges dropped. His criminal history was full of felonies that he wasn't prosecuted for, mostly firearms violations. Finally in 1989 he shot 44 children in his old school yard!
How can anyone expect more laws to protect us when they won't enforce the ones they've got!
