I wish I could see him live...he was playing the Leeds (UK) festival a few years back but I missed him.
Have you seen Mick Rock's photos of Iggy? I've just bought a DVD slideshow of his photos called 'Punk Drunk Love' and it has loads of Iggy on it - you should check it out (I think you can see some of the images on it at panoramica.com)
