Same thing happened to Lucille Ball. Her voice was much different in her later shows and movies than in I Love Lucy. I always thought that was weird.
And yes, Fran sounds a lot different in the Pilot of the Nanny than she doen in the Finale. I find the difference very noticable in LWF.
