Do not forget that the whites were seen as exploiting the other races. The DA is trying to use the race card in order to win his election. At one point his wife, Bullock, is on the phone angry at her housekeeper for taking too long, and proceeds to list mostly maintenance jobs stereotypically taken by minorities.
