Yea, I think they were having an affair of some sort. It would make sense as it would be another "crash" of two races. They reall yshould have addresed that a bit more. It would also explain why Sandra Bullock's character was so withdrawn<---not gettign attention from her husband. Also, you'll remember that Sandara Bullock's hcaracter told him that she thought he was spending too much time on the phone with his assistant.
