I didn't think that after watching the movie until reading this. Now I could see where that could be an issue. I thought it kind of odd the way that Brendan's character looked at his assistant before entering the elevator at the end. Almost like he was checking her out, and the fact that she had just heard him say I Love You to his wife maybe kept her from entering the elevator with him. She just stood there even when the elevator doors closed.
