Response to i've never seen...

The actual "Leopold" K5E railway gun was painted an overall dunkelgelb with red-brown camo. There was one stationed near Calais that was an overall field gray color. I have no idea what the other four K5Es were painted like. There are still two in existence now. The "Leopold" is on display at Aberdeen. Another one is on display at the Todt Artillery battery in France. It has fallen into disrepair and is completely rusted out.

I'd say to go with dunkelgelb with a red-brown camo or dunkelgrun camo if it is to be one stationed near Anzio. Otherwise, I'd go with field gray or any camo you want. Either of the Anzio camos would look good with the engine.

By the way, if you are wanting an accurate representation of a K5E, only add the "Leopold" decal if you are building the Leopold itself, otherwise omit it. The K5E was painted panzer gray from the factory and if a field camo was added, a panzer gray box would be visible around any identifying markings.
