Response to Bandai vs Tamiya

Hi Ray,
I am not sure how the two kits compare. I have the following in similar scale:

1/25 Tamiya Tiger I
1/24 Bandai Tiger II (P) x 2
1/24 Bandai Panther

I am seeking the Bandai kit because they come with (somewhat) complete interiors. I know of no company that makes any interior sets seperately. Any ideas?

The Tamiya Tiger I is old and the engine compartment is sparse. The fighting compartment is acceptable. Besides any interior is something to start with.

Previously I had a Imai 1/24 M4 High speed Tractor and Long Tom. This kit was really lacking. Basically it was a good shell to start with and would need lots of scratch building & detailing. I really feared trying to replace the tracks. I might try to locate one later, but the last I saw on ebay went for over $200.00. :{.

I recently purchased a "paper model" on ebay for $6.00 (w/shipping) of a 1/24 German Sdkfz 223 or 222 (can't remember). I thought maybe I could scrach build the items out of plastic. Looks easy enough, as the paper model is a great lay out plan for measurements...however, I have no ideal how I will attempt to make the tires. Probably find a 1/24 or 1/25 kits similar and modify from there; then case copies.

Any opinion on the tamiya kit yourself?

Will
