I would have seen the Monogram M-48a2 around 1965-66, older next door neighbor boy had it....the one I got at Micheals w/the 50% off coupon, last fall, pretty sure had 1966 stamped in the lower hull.
The M-48A2 build, last fall was not hard, was really not a challenge, but was fun overall. I had not built that model since 1969-72, I know with no paint and I played with back then like a toy, meaning it probably got all broke up pretty quick. Now the other Monogram tank kits, Sherman, Lee/Grant, PZ IV, etc...they were later, 1974-75, before sports and girls and got painted, with Pactra spray cans and displayed, after HS they were tossed before College. Sad.
I got you on one thing...High School, I'm a 1978 grad. Mike
