I have a question about the rear decking of the StuG III Ausf. A through F. The rear mudguards to be exact.

I have seen certain models with the mudguards with holes in each mudguard. One rectangle hole in the left mudguard and one round hole in the right mudguard.

But with other models, like the Tamiya 1/48 StuG III, I have seen these holes filled.

Question is, which is correct?

Roy's wrong says Roy

Sorry Tony but Roy and the modellers who drill them through when they are lowered are incorrect. They are open so when they were flipped up they should be drilled open. But there was a lower flap which looks like so:

When the flaps were down, their openings would have been blocked by the lower flap.
