Building a USMC M1A1HA from the new Dragon M1 kits?

Gentlemen,

I would like to build a USMC M1A1HA from OIF.

What is the easiest way to get there using either the Dragon M1A1 AIM or M1A2 SEP kits?

I'm an aviation guy and my knowledge of our armor is severly lacking!

On a side note, does anyone have any idea why I can't post messages on the missing-linx forum? It shows I'm logged in, but can't post anything. When I tried, it took me to a page that said membership was closed.

Thanks,

Dave

You can make a USMC tank from the Dragon AIM, but you will need to swipe some USMC fittings (MCD, smoke grenade launchers, etc.) from another kit, perhaps the Tamiya M1A2 or the Academy OIF kit. You can't get there from the SEP kit, the hull has some changes from an A1 to an A2 SEP and the cupola is entirely different.

Thanks Rob!

Rob,

Thanks for the response. I have the Tamiya kit, so the parts are in hand. Now I just need to get a good run down of exactly what needs to be left off/added/changed to get a USMC machine.
