I'm preparing to build Tamiya's 1/48 Tiger I Early Production. Instead of going with the suggested paint schemes, I would like to do something more intimidating. Has anyone seen pictures of a damaged Tiger I? Something that looks like its taken a few hits but kept going? Also, generally, how would Tiger crews indicate kills?

I will probably go with a fictional tank but I'd like some references to see how it stood up to hits.

Kill markings were usually represented by bands around the barrel...

Don't overdo damage. A small caliber hit would just take out a gouge in the armor but thats about it... This is the venerable old APG Jagdtiger... it has a hit to the gun collar, glacias armor, etc.
