I've just started this kit and I have a note in my database about the tracks being plastic eaters. My note is kind of cryptic and I don't remember where I may have heard this. Can anyone comment on this? And if so does anyone besides Bronco models make tracks for it? I wonder if Leopard tracks will work, may have to lenghtened.
The self propelled gun does not use the same tracks as the Leopard--the center guides are notably different. I had not heard about any problems with the vinyl, but the length of the tracks gives a poor fit.
I just got the Bronco set--they're very nice. They assemble clamshell fashion, with the two track pins and the end connectors molded as one part, and the track pads molded as a top and bottom that trap the pins, a much more positive assembly method than the separate end connectors used on AFV Club and RHPS/Panda tracks. I would suggest using tube cement so capillary action doesn't draw any solvent where you don't want it, keeping the tracks moveable.
