Two kits to chose from.
February 10 2012, 6:58 PM
Hi Al.
As far as i know there are two kits of Merkava Mk.4 out there.
Academy and Hobby Boss. From what i read and heard the Hobby Boss is nicer with sharper details but it has one major problem with the way suspension is in the kit. The road wheals are staggered and they are not supposed to be like this. Or other way around.
Academy kit has it right but it is not as crisp and detailed as Hobby Boss.
But i'm sure others know more about it, maybe someone will tell us more details.
HTH.
Cezar.
I like the Hobby Boss kit better than Academy's although it has the mistake of having the suspension mis-aligned. HB represents the suspension as being staggered as it would be on a torsion bar tank, which is incorrect. Its not really that noticable although you could reposition all of the wheels on one side. Aside from that its a really nice kit. Academy's is not "bad" either and is better than their horrible Mk. III.
