Can Trumpeter Hetzer Starr be built into an earlier variant

Was wondering how good this kt is and can it be built into a more battle tested varinat since I think only 1 was built with the diesel engine and 9 were built with

It takes some work but is reasonable.

It's a decent kit overall of the diesel prototype. Oddly, though, the kit includes the normal Hetzer gas engine.

I would not be surprised if Trumpeter released a second kit using the very modular tooling.

The kit wheels are poor and are best replaced. I think you need a new idler wheel too. Fortunately the Trumpeter kit parts interchange easily with Tamiya and Eduard. You could swap guns, engine deck parts, etc., around easily.
