Well, you are watching the right web sites.

1/700 scale just makes more sense. Half the size, and a quarter of the footprint compared to 1/350 scale ships. The smaller scale lets you display the major WWII Kriegsmarine units in a 24" x 24" area. And there would still be room for samples of destroyers, U-boats and support ships.

Trumpeter CV 2 USS Lexington and battleship Bismarck are nice.

Tamiya did a good job of the cruiser Prinz Eugen.

Tamiya also does a box of small harbor craft ( tugger set ) Simple, but satisfying. (Hey. I finished something today!)
