Response to Artistic license for sure

I thought of the sunrise/sunset glow also. There is the red patch on the liner's starboard side and the otherwise white bow. If the artist was attempting to represent the red sun glow on the DD, perhaps some of the same color should have ended up on the liner's bow.

But the orange color is effective for what it does. Drawing the eye to the DD, the hero of the poster, keeping the sea lanes open from the Bosch submarine.

Everyone can be an art critic.
