Response to DML Aegis kits

... a Ticondeoga-class cruiser. Both are AEGIS equipped platforms.

The Dragon Burke kits owe their pedigree to Panda's Burke. Panda went out of business and Dragon obtained the molds. Panda made Flight I, II, and IIa variants. All of the Panda variants featured the zits you mention. They are supposed to be inhaul padeyes. These are U-shaped pieces of wire welded to the hull to faciliate overboard hull maintainance. Clip on and haul the work platform closer to the side of the hull.

You have two options:
1) sand them off and forget about them (preferred)
2) sand them off and replace them with tiny Us of fine wire inserted onto holes drilled in the hull
