Response to poor fit

I assembled my full and proper kit hull last week and had only a minor fit issue on the forward deck to main deck (a little Mr. Surfacer kind of gap)though did have more of a gap between the main deck and the aft deck section that needed a shim. However I did not have any fit or alignment problem anywhere else in the build.
I suspect a bit more care in step 1 and step 12, perhaps compressing the joints on those main elements, will fix the problem in a future build.

That you had problems with the rear decks might have been a problem with the individual casting of the parts? I thought the alignment and fit was pretty bullet proof in those areas.

In general, the kit has gone together particularly well, especially compared to the Trumpeter Roma, mainly in minimal clean up and positive alignment/fit on parts.
