Questions for John @ WEM

I recently picked up one of the Revell U.S.S. Yorktown (CV-5) Carriers.
The kit is supplied with 20 SBDs, and I read a review where L'Arsenal TBDs and F4Fs were added along with the GMM photo etch set designed specifically for this kit with some very good results.
Starfighters decals offer markings for the airgroup as it appeared at Midway, and I plan on using that sheet, the problem is finding TBDs

I searched L'Arsenal and WEM websites looking for these aircraft in the appropriate scale (i/480) and while I was able to find F4Fs and TBFs (along with F6Fs) I wasn't able to find any TBDs.

Are the TBDs in this scale out of production? Also, how many F4Fs come to a package?

Any help would be appreciated.
If you prefer, you can contact me offline at jhse@bellsouth.net

Thanks for any help

Aircraft

Hi Jonathan,

Actually, a better choice would be 1/500 scale aircraft, much closer in scale for your 1/480 carrier. While we dropped ours from our own stock, we have been doing custom production runs for Mark Tutton of Marks Models & Toys and Starfighter Decals. These include both TBDs and Wildcats. You can contact Mark at mktutton@verizon.net or starfighterace@yahoo.com regarding prices and availability.

Cheers,

Excellent advice as always.

It was a actually the Starfighter web site and his line of decals that gave me the ideas of looking for additional aircraft to supplement the SBDs included with the kit.
