Thanks

Wow -- first time I ever heard that they got that one out

I went back and checked what I submitted to Rajens Ship List, and lo and behold I mentioned that Viking was supposedly working on a Edmund Fitz just before they shut down about 8 to 10 years ago. Prior to the shutdown Viking was involved in a legal kerfluffle with Flagship photo-etch company over the unlicensed production & use of Flagship's photoetch for the Texas/NewYork.

I have never seen that kit but based on the legal problems and the past performance with other Viking kits which I have seen, I would doubt that a Viking Edmund Fitz had a dedicated photoetch set included with it.

You would likely be able to cobble together a good set of railings from almost any of the 1:350 scale photoetch suppliers; GMM, WEM. Toms, Flagship, Eduard, etc. You may also want to contact Jon Warneke at Iron Shipwright and see if you could purchase the etch and accessories separately from the ISW kit. http://ironshipwrights.com/ships_350.html
