Does anybody make a kit of the "Arashi" japanese destroyer, or some kit of a sister ship in that class that could become the Arashi?
Email me directly at jamesstaley1@peoplepc.com with your response, please. Thanks.

Which scale? and did you mean Arashi or Arashio?

If you meant the DD that sent Akagi to the bottom after she was a burning wreck courtsy of the that would be the Arashio. Hasegawa does that one in 1/700, it is one of their older kits, can't attest to the quality / accuracy as I've never seen it. Perhaps others can chime in.

Anyway, in regards to Arashi, in the thread for Japanese destroyers at modelwarshps.com you will find this very helpful list:

http://www.shipmodels.info/mws_forum/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=14523

which will tell you that the Arashi's sister ships were:

Akigumo
Amatsukaze
Arashi
Isokaze
Hagikaze
Hamakaze 45
Hatsukaze
Hayashio
Kagero (class leader)
Kuroshio
Maikaze
Natsushio
Nowaki
Oyashio
Shiranu(h)i
Tanikaze
Tokitsukaze
Urakaze
Yukikaze

I know for a fact that both Hasegawa and Tamiya do a 1/350 Yukikaze, Nichimo does a Kagero in 1/500 and Skywave does the same in 1/700. Aoshima does the Shiranui and Yukikaze in 1/700. Don't know how similar either of these is to the Arashi, but the basic hull/deck should be the same.

Hope this helps.

ps You may find this list of kits helpful, shows them by manufacturer/subject:
