Almost everything is available now (Bismarck class, Scharnhorst class, Hipper class, Deutschland class, S-boats, U-boats...
All that is missing is a light cruiser - Emden, K class, Leipzig or Nurnberg.
But what would be nice is any one of the disguised merchant raiders - Atantis, Pinguin, Thor, Komet, Widder, Orion, Kormoran. All these ships together cost a fraction of the price of the Bismarck, and caused great headaches to the R.N.
HMS Colossus (CVL 1945)
Admiral Scheer (PB/CA 1941)
HMS Warspite (BB 1941)
HMS Norfolk (CA 1941)
Any German destroyer (1939-45)
SMS Seydlitz (BC 1916)
USS Midway (CV 1945)
HMAS Perth/Sydney/Hobart (CL 1939-45)
USS Long Beach (CA 1960)
I would really like the Ticonderoga 27-C axial deck and as a 27-C angle deck in CVA configuration. I am aware of the expensive kit available from Ships & Company, but am hoping for something less expensive. Perhaps Dragon will come to the rescue, someday
The Big E! CV-6 !! in 1/350th for crying out loud!!!!

WHY with all the other stuff flooding the world hasn't somebody minted a KIT of the big E
It looks like we have the Scharnhorst, and the Pocket Battleships now.... I want a Big E.... by somebody who charges sane prices...
Battleship row would also be nice... even the sunk ships went on to distinguish themselves nicely...well...except for the ones that couldn't be saved

A Tennessee class would open up many Possibilities!

With this class of Ship you could do the Tennessee, California, with slight mods (Turrets mainly) the Colorado Class as well is possible that gives you 4 of the BB's at Pearl and you could do both 1941 and Modified configurations sounds like best bang for buck on the molds??
Just my Take.
Cheers

...other than a handful when I was a kid but to tell the truth the subject has always been THE most interesting to me. Odd isn't it?
What I'd like to build is turn of the century/WWI warships, I just find the early era of dreadnaughts and the other various types of that time period to be very interesting. I'd love to do them in 1/350 but 1/700 is more reasonable spacewise for me. I know some are available but I don't feel like paying $100 for a resin ship that's 2.5 inches long.

1/144 WORLD WAR 1 U-boats, Merchant raiders and Falken catapult carrier
October 29 2009, 9:14 PM
I really want to see the WORLD WAR 1 U-boats made as they had several types, larger scale WW1 merchant raiders
and the "way cool" Falken, 1930s/WWII german catapult seaplane carrier which would make a great kit.
Thanks all
