It looks better than their Jap sub but its also probably a mock up and not the kit itself...

At least this is more interesting than the Graf Zeppelin carrier they have been advertizing. And they are reissuing some of their good old ship kits like the Pyro Blockade Runner

its being dissected on the other boards

The same 'Master Modeler' who is responsible for the I-53 made this.

There are problems with some of the structures, the armament, and a radar which never was.

It has been posited that Lindberg should listen to the modelers who know what they are talking about than to listen to the supposed master.

Release is 12 to 18 months

Seems pretty good

The discussion on Steel Navy is fairly positive (given this is a mock up). The radar could indicate a Pennsylvania kit in the works and some of hte mistakes seem to stem from the use of common plans (floating drydock) that have errors.

Subs are so simple and simplistic that any flaws really stand out, like the shape of the bow! On the other hand if the Arizona is half way decent in shape, leaving off an unnecessary radar dish or .50 cal mount shouldnt be a huge issue.

Price is rumored to be in the $400+ range... so its not cheap but its not out of line if you look at RC kits, gas powered trucks, etc.

Build it, certainly...then what? Release it into the Mississippi and rent it a berth? That thing would be HUGE
