I hear what you're saying. Yet supposedly Jesus healed the lame and blind, raised a dead guy, walked on water, fed a multitude with a few fish and loaves of bread.
And after all that, some of his followers still weren't sure.
Somehow the whole story doesn't hang together too well upon reflection, without the glasses of blind faith.
