Voters are too lazy to care. Most voters are tuned out or terribly misinformed. And the ones who ARE informed are sometimes listening to the wrong people. I wish we had more websites that were interested in giving us just the facts. Who voted for what and who has been the most honest in representing themselves.
And then you have another problem which Biden illustrated today. Katy Couric asked him if he was in favor of one of the ads that had come out misrepresenting McCain (I can't remember which one it was) and he said no, he thought it was a cheap shot and he doubted Obama really was in favor of it, either, seeming to imply that the candidates weren't really in charge of what is put out there by their campaign managers. I know that is true on both sides and was impressed that Biden was so frank about it. I give him kudos for that. I'd like to see more of that kind of honesty in campaigning, but it just isn't done. In fact, Hannity was already headlining it in his show tonight as Biden striking out against Obama and that's not what he did at all. It's just tit for tat most of the time in campaigning. I'll be so glad when November's election is over and done.
