I don't fall into this assessment, "...self proclaimed Christians not only tolerating war, but advocating it, promoting it..."
I accept it is sometimes necessary (and I suppose that could be called tolerance), but I never promote or advocate war. It is just a fact of life that there will always be warring between countries--it is the nature of mankind--and we must be prepared for it and participate in it at times in defense of our country. To sit back and not enter in the face of encroaching evil is suicidal.
Jesus was non-violent, but he did teach us to stand up for what is right and I think that's what we do. I know you don't see it that way, Mondo, but the motives behind the wars the US has engaged in have always been of good intent. Sometimes good intentions are not always lived up to.
