In Greek culture -from my understanding- women weren't considered as being too important. They weren't THE intellectuals. Sex with woman was for procreation. Real GOOD sex that endowed the mysteries of bonding ........ was with young boys. (Mentor/protege).
Since Paul was born and raised in Tarsus -an Hellenistic center of Intellectualism- he would have been well acquainted with this philosophy. Sex with other groan men wasn't kosher but sex with boys was. (Romans were more into homosexuality). So ........ he may have been struggling with pedophelic desires.
It's interesting that the NTestament is utterly silent on pedophilia. Either it was considered so normal as to not warrant mention or ........ it was later expunged from the writings.
