I really do appreciated all your input on this. Your advice is being kept in mind, I assure you.
Your poor son does indeed seemed to have been through it at one time. I admit I am almost sure Laura's problem was at one time 'just' that she did not want to go to school. But has now developed into a reaction spiralling thing.
Interesting indeed about councilling and pyschiatrists. MY son was referred when he was only 8 to a child pyschiatrist for his 'behavioural problems' at school. I was told he was almost sure to be suffering from autism. I could see none of this at home. he was mischevious at times but nothing that serious and he was indeed far ahead of his school years. Anyway a year later, the child pyschiatrist 'tested him' and reported, Stephen ahd no major problems, was not autistic and was a perfectly 'normal', boy, whatever that means.
Anyway, got the school off my back as I told them from the start, I did not agree with them but went rhough the motions with them.
As it happened, he just outgrew his bad behaviour and settled down.
" I hope you get someone who will include you in his/her treatment of Laura. It takes the whole family working together with the child and the doctor, I believe."
I will make sure of this, Dori. Thanks.
Sorry sis, you and your loved ones have had such sufferings. Life an be a darned challenge, that's for sure.......
WILL keep in touch....
Love to you
