Response to come on in, the water's fine...

You never knew Jack Kennedy.

While the overarching or base motivation -(take your pick)- of the Kennedy family may have been to be important ......... JFK's PERSONAL ambition had nothing to do with being narcissistic. (He may have been the last president who had sincere vision to serve his country instead of himself).

JFK never wanted to be a President. The family focus was on Joe, his older brother. But Joe was killed in WW2. Thus, the "mantle" fell to Jack.

Whether the Kennedy vision and their actions were right or not, at LEAST they had a good grasp of where they wanted their country to go and to be. That in itself was extremely invigorating. When Jack gave a speech, it was riveting. There was NONE of that "uhm" stuff when Jack answered questions. He had his pistols full of shells and shot from the hip. He wasn't constantly afraid of saying the "wrong" thing; he had the faculties to extricate himself subsequently without excuses ..... should he be confronted with what he said previously. The guy was REAL.

So-o ............ had the Kennedys succeeded with their plan of keeping John in for 2 terms and then maybe Robert or Ted for another 2 terms later .............. I believe they WOULD have made an incredible positive difference in the direction that America went.

I don't expect that from Obamah but Obamah, at least ........... represents a break from the same old philosophy Republicanism has demonstrated since the late '60s, which is .......... to constantly be warring with someone, somewhere and that winning and bullying is the only way to keep the U.S. viable.
