I have the same problem with British films and comedy, though. The language is mumbly to me. I know Americans have a lot of thick accents in various areas, but you British talk so darned fast I can't keep up! LOL!
I did love Benny Hill, though. He reminded me of my Dad! And my Dad could make a lot of his expressions--especially when it came to ogling the lovely ladies. I wish they'd show the reruns again--especially the earlier ones.
