Using cremation ovens was an extremely inefficient system of disposal. Think of all the precious fuel it wasted: about 30 kg of coke per body.

No, it appears to me that the cremation ovens were installed to take care of dying prisoners in the camps. That they were used for extermination/disposal is quite likely true and indisputable but ...... they weren't INSTALLED for THAT purpose. In no way could they have handled the volumes claimed.
The 6 million figure is bogus.
