in a galaxy... wait, no.
a long time ago I just wasn't able to picture it. For one thing I couldn't get past the concept of parents who would pop out a creature that was odd and raising it anyway. (hold the comments in, I know it's hard) But then I read that no parents ever had a child that didn't look like them. Change happens slowly. VERY slowly. We see it in LARGE pieces and it looks so chaotic to us. But it's not really heavy metal, it's much more Chopin. Oh, I would imagine there are "bursts" when things evolve in hundreds and thousands of years instead of longer... but still. The evolution of life on our planet is like a loaf of bread with a trillion trillion slices and you and I are able to comprehend but one.
I know you're grappling with the idea of how God fits into all this. And "God" is a simple term for a complicated subject. I grok.
There just isn't an alternative. It's how we got here.
Hey, they just discovered some lizards in Vietnam that are all female and they reproduce by cloning. No Adam and Eve but Eve and Eve and Eve and Eve...
