He has a vision...
Of Taking Over Countries...
-- One Store at a Time.

His idea is pretty simple to understand...
But, a bit more complicated to implement.

It goes something like this...

He'd have to introduce an interac/moneris/debit card machine...
-- Like the ones that are already IN place...
With a card-swiping machine...
Connected to his OWN Online System.
-- (That's the "complicated" part.)

Unlike the existing machines...
The companies agreeing to use his machines...
Would pay no fees for their use.
Clearly providing...
-- A financial bonus in the savings created...
Which, in turn is...
-- An incentive to install the machine.

However...
They would have to agree to give a discounted rate...
For all purchases made through his machine system.
-- This "loss" of revenue per transaction...
-- Being "countered" by a higher volume of sales...
-- Generated by members of his "Card Club" system.

Purchases on his system...
Could only be made by members of his "Card Club"...
And...
While the customer would be charged full price at the point of sale...
He would reimburse the company only for the Contractually Agreed-Upon Discounted Rate.

The difference between the full price paid by his "Card Club" members...
And the Discounted Amount reimbursed to the individual merchants...
Would then be allocated to a Central Fund...
-- (Known elsewhere as... a "Bank Account".)

This Central Fund would be used to pay the overhead for his company...
And, at the end of the year...
A percentage of the fund would be divvied up...
To be Returned to the "Card Club" members.

Soooooo...
The "Card Club" members would, in effect, be...
-- "Paid To Shop".
Which, it just so happens...
Is the name of his company.

Will it work...?
Heck...
-- I don't know.
But...
There are already a good number of companies Out There...
Acting as "Third Party Billing Agents"...
-- Priceline, Expedia, Hotels.Com...
They're ALLLLL getting a hefty Discount...
For any business they send along...
While charging their clients twice as much.

It works because of the Online Convenience...
And...
Because, the client still gets a lower rate from the 3rd Party Biller...
Than what they would get from their company of choice...
-- If they chose to Pay Direct.

The companies using 3rd party billers...
Agree to give them such deeply discounted rates...
Because of...
-- The Volume of Business they hope to Receive.

So, again...
Will this guy's plan actually Work...?
Well... I really don't know...
But...
Given the Current "3rd Party Billing" system...
-- It DOES Stand a chance.
