Response to was Peter the antichrist in this moment of time? |
| Peter in denying at least 3 times to have been a part of the Jesus group just did what most people would have done under those circumstances - "saving his own skin".
..... I am reminded of what I have been reading about Germany before and after WW2: Before the end of the Hitler regime, in 1945, most German people adored Hitler and were FOR the Nazi party's aims, but after the Nazi regime had come to an end the vast majority of Germans apparently claimed to always have been anti-Nazi.
..... Obviously it was very dangerous for anyone to be anti-regime during the Nazi time, and then very dangerous after that time to have been thought of having been a Nazi supporter and/or even a member of the Nazi party and/or of the SS, a private black-shirted racially-based militia whose job included the running of the concentration (death) camps where very many were murdered quite legally. |
