Being Canadian,
we often use
British spellings.
Colour. Honour etc.
We also spell out light, night etc.

Genesis 1:3
And God said,
Let there be "light" :
and there was "light" .
1:4 And God saw the "light" ,
that it was good:
and God divided the "light"
from the darkness.
1:5 And God called the "light" Day,
and the darkness he called "Night".
And the evening and the morning were the first day.

Luke 10:29
But he,
willing to justify himself,
said unto Jesus,
And who is my neighb"our"?
Galatians 5:14
For all the law
is fulfilled in one word,
even in this;
Thou shalt love
thy neighb"our"
as thyself.
James 2:8
If ye fulfil the royal law
according to the scripture,
Thou shalt love
thy neighb"our"
as thyself,
ye do well:

Some famous favourites
Biblical characters with many elements
of the favourite are
David (of Saul)
and Joseph (of Pharaoh).
And the KJV Bible Read'ns also uses: neigh"our(s)"

And when he cometh home,
he calleth together his friends
and neighbours,
saying unto them,
Rejoice with me;
for I have found my sheep
which was lost.

she calleth her friends
and her neighbours together,
saying, Rejoice with me;
for I have found the piece
which I had lost.

Having a discussion with a friend the other day,
I suggested some haunt
of theirs was their "favourite".
They disagreed .. "No it isn't!"
My perception.
Call it a restaurant, a shop, even a forum.
The restaurant, the shop, the forum
that you frequent the most -- would that not
be your favourite?
The piece of clothing you wear the most,
the song you listen to the most,
the type of coffee
or tea you drink most frequently, etc ..
Is that not what defines "favourite"?
