I was reared Catholic in the old Catholic Church. In Catholic school we were told repeatedly that Mary was not to be prayed-to; that the statues were just statues, nothing more, not to be prayed-to. This did not stop many Catholics from making of them objects of worship. Could this have been the case with the Sphinx? |
