It suggests to me that we CAN determine our own destinies to an extent by "wishing" things to be a certain way ... yet, we can NOT determine to lengthen our lives indefinitely ... (for some reason.~)
Another thing that strikes is the "power" of group think/belief. Does it make any difference what a large group of people believe or perceive ... if they don't DO anything?
Evidently, "masters" seem to think so. They always find it necessary to plant false perception into the minds of their slaves. If the slaves are totally obedient and dependent and trusting ... does it make ANY difference what the slaves believe or perceive?
Alternately, does it make any difference if you expose the truth to a large group of slaves? People like Alex Jones continually lament and rant about the APATHY of people. They need to get out there and DO something; not just sit around on their asses watching TV and getting obese.
The problem is ... exactly WHAT are these "sheep" supposed to do or what are they expected to do? Without a "vision" ... people perish.
To effect change then, there must be a vision change ... some "picture" ... some plot to follow. Otherwise, every person will simply independently do what he thinks is "best" and conflict with other people who all believe they know best as well. The net result is chaos.
Having an image in mind of what to do that will cause positive changes to happen is -in itself- probably the most powerful tool of all! When people latch onto such a vision and it clicks with them, they'll just automatically act out their beliefs.
So-o ... berating people is really of no value. Exposing the truth, by itself, isn't too powerful. But PUTTING THE PICTURE TOGETHER and then offering an idea of where to go and what to do ... IS a most powerful way to motivate for positive change.
