As Seoc said: A great topic. Eastern philosophies addressed fear extensively. The Dao with it's resultant sytems of Chigong and Tiajiquan are all about self control. Maintaining calmness through breathing and relaxation while engaged in fierce actions are paramount to survival. The eight trigrams introduce the nature of balance and harmony.
Daoist teaching are about non-judemental observations, acceptance of events with a open mind, caring for ones health and a very long and productive life lived in harmony. Achieveing the state of Wuji: no extremities. Fear is an extremety. |
