Patriotism?

To me, it seems a dreadful indignity to have a soul controlled by geography. ~George Santayana

I have no sense of nationalism, only a cosmic consciousness of belonging to the human family. ~Rosika Schwimmer

You'll never have a quiet world till you knock the patriotism out of the human race. ~George Bernard Shaw

Patriotic jingoism is but a means of controlling the sheeple, without their awareness of the true state of affairs!

Well said. happy.gif

As matter of interest (mine anyhow happy.gif)I forgot where the actual word jingoism came from so I just looked it up.

"jingoism"

The context of the coining of jingoism was British foreign policy of the late 1870s. The prime minister, Benjamin Disraeli, had a plan to send gunboats to halt the advance of the Russian fleet out of its own waters into the Mediterranean.

This gave rise to a music-hall song, written in 1878 by G. W. Hunt. It had a chorus which went: We dont want to fight, yet by Jingo! if we do, Weve got the ships, weve got the men, and got the money too.

Opponents of the policy picked up on the word jingo and began using it as an icon of blind patriotism

Bloody Brits, eh? happy.gif

Study Hypnosis. A lengthy study if done correctly. Answers all those questions. Like drinking coffee. Taste bad at first and then it gets better until you can't live without it. Dogs clean out the cat box unless behaviour is changed. Patrioism is a learned condition.

Learned conditions indeed.

There seems to be more and more that are realising about Learned Conditions so can unlearn, but sadly they remain the few.

Hope I am wrong....
