So Monday night 'miss rosie' was rummaging around in the recycle bin, our kids thought it was a possum until my husband and I came out. She was limping (think her left leg is sprained from being outside) and very thin. I immediately brought her cat food and she was ravenous. She let me put her into a cat crate. She is now eating her Ferret food (not cat food) and seems to be putting on some weight. I have felt her leg and it does not feel broken, she will put some weight on it..I think with time and TLC it will be good as new.
I have called PetSmart and they think she was dumped. It is heartbreaking to think anyone would dump this innocent baby with no means to take care of herself.
I think she is either a juvenile or a young adult. Not even sure it is a she (loves to be cuddled and lay quietly on lap) as it has a strong odor of Muskox (could be a male)
Husband called humane society and they will take her, but I feel that this baby deserves a wonderful home, not to be thrown into shady circumstances yet again.
I am willing to care for her until the right person comes along. In the meantime, what can I do about the fleas I have discovered on her?
Seeking a Ferret expert to be Rosie's forever friend.
