Hey folks! A parent from the YMCA pre-school in Bellevue e-mailed the shelter asking for someone to bring in some ferrets to do ferret education with the pre-schoolers. I brought four of my personal ferrets on Thursday, and it went great! I presented to about 12 pre-schoolers, and then another 12 or so toddlers. It went great and many of them wanted to "hold" the ferrets, etc. Just FYI, it was a lot of fun!

Hello!
My preschooler, (last year) had a, "pet day" where the kids could bring in a pet to share with class. So, we set up our date to bring our pet,.. (could you imagine all the kids with cats, dogs, birds, fish, etc in the same room on the same day?! LOL All you would see at the end of the day, after the fur got done flying around the room.. is a tail sticking out of the biggest dog's mouth! lol) which we decided to bring 2 of our ferrets!
We brought Yogi and Bianca. (Check out the photo album, page 2 on this site. You will see "Bernard, Bianca and their new buddy Yogi") All the kids had lots of questions, and wanted to pet,... and pet,... and pet some more! Yogi was great with it,... Bianca started to get a bit nervious.. so I put her back in the carrier.
It was a great, fun day!
