I am just wanting to know if any of you have used Marshalls Bi-odor waste deodorizer and if it works.

I haven't used it, but things you add to an animals' food to make the waste less stinky make me nervous. Just my opinion.

A somewhat related question: what food are you feeding, and what kind of litter are you using?

Some foods produce stinkier poo than others, and some litters are better at absorbing/negating odors than others. I tried Yesterday's News for a litter for awhile, and it almost made me gag. Think about it...urine-soaked newspaper...hmmm....

I use wood stove pellets, and they have a natural, nice pine scent.

If the poo is REALLY stinky, you might consider having a fecal sample done. Parasites, etc. can make poo very stinky.

Good luck!

I can only speak for myself, but Yesterday's News is the absolutely worst litter/bedding product on the market, hands down. Just my opinion!

food answers

I find that most of the time what I feed my carpet sharks makes the biggest difference. I mostly make a mix of the Nutro Kitten chow (comes in a pink bag) and Eukanuba Cat chow, chicken formula. Both of these provide all nutrition demands and keep the smell away so that my ferret smell sensetive friend doesn't even know they are in the house. Works wonders for the nose.

I am currently feeding mine a mixture of Marshall's, 8 in 1 ultimate and Avoderm cat/kitten food. I also switched to using wood pellets. In regards to maybe switching food. Does anyone have anymore suggestions that I can switch them too and they will still get all they need. Hopefully something that all of them will like.

Well, I don't know which foods smell worse than others, but I feed my guys Mazuri ferret food, and their poo smell is manageable. I think Totally Ferret (which is a great food), produces some pretty stinky poo, but I could be wrong.

Cat food in generally is pretty stinky, I think.

I'm completely guessing on all of this though, so if someone knows differently, speak up!
